The markets opened hot today. NASDAQ and E-Mini S&P both had recent long signals, price action was strong, and targets were already in sight. It would’ve been easy to jump in right away… but that’s how traders end up chasing and losing.
Instead, I waited for the next clean setup.
NASDAQ: Fast and Done
A new long signal flashed on the NASDAQ. Entry was quick — and so was the exit. My preset 20-tick target hit before I could adjust for a bigger run.
Sure, I could’ve squeezed more out of it, but speed rules in fast markets. The Sonic Trading System identified the move, and the market did the rest.
E-Mini S&P: Reading the Market’s Limits
Over on the E-Mini S&P, I caught another long setup — this time after a small pullback for a better price.
The market moved toward my target… then stalled.
- First attempt — no break.
- Second attempt — still blocked.
- Third attempt — same story.
That’s a sign of resistance. I tightened my target, took the fill, and walked away with $225 per contract — over $1,000 if you’re trading five contracts.
The Lesson
Trading isn’t about catching every last tick. It’s about:
-
Patience — wait for the right signal.
-
Speed — react fast when the market moves.
-
Discipline — lock in profits when the market stalls.
The Sonic Trading System gives you the setups. Your job is to manage them like a pro.
